Active aero was a Nissan factory option available for the GTSTs and other turbo models, excluding the GTR. Two switches left of the steering wheel control a lip that comes down from under the front bumper. Pressing the up switch moves the lip up behind the bumper, while pushing down brings the lip down flush with the front bumper. Pushing both at the same time engages automatic mode which activates the lip at around 50mph. It is common for owners in Japan to remove the active aero lip, as it takes up the same space where aftermarket intercoolers are added.
